The new version is now available for download in free open source Express format or in Professional open source trial version. Since its inception in 2007, Gizmox has been working towards the release of its fully featured Visual WebGui (VWG) version. Up until this release of 6.4 Gizmox has released 6 major versions and with this version Gizmox is delivering on the VWG promise to enable a full cycle of rapid development of enterprise level data-intensive Ajax application. “VWG was designed to solve what might be the most painful issues for enterprise IT; reproducing client/server richness and user experience on Web and Cloud, in a simple cost effective way and with standard Web, no-plug-in accessibility and absolutely secured end point. We took upon ourselves one of the most ambitious missions, one that the big software players could not solve,” says Navot Peled, Gizmox CEO and adds “The goal was to create an end-to-end Web and Cloud solution that simplifies enterprise Ajax development experience to a VB6 level using Ajax methodologies to reproduce client/server richness and user experience on Web while enabling absolutely unhackable Ajax UI and one that also enables creative UI designs without the need to struggle with complex HTML, JavaScript and CSS styling. We wanted to make developers really feel at home, so we decided to expose 2 basic development experiences: one that leverages desktop developers’ skills, providing Form based VB6-like development experience and one that leverages web developers’ skills, with declarative XAML experience. The first one we call VWG application and the second is VWG sites. Visual WebGui 6.4 is the first version to fully deliver on that promise.” VWG has been collecting awards on its innovative approach and achievements, as well as rewarded with developers and enterprises responses and feedbacks

Oracle VM VirtualBox – the ultimate virtualization software for enterprise and home – came with a webservice tool called vboxwebsrv, and if you have your virtualBox installed on a host machine you don’t have necessarily on the same machine to manage it. phpVirtualBox is a new project which aims to make VirtualBox management possible simply from a web browser. The web application is powered by PHP and jQuery providing a real clone of the VirtualBox software in your web browser. Much of its verbage and some of its code is based on the (inactive) vboxweb project. phpVirtualBox require A web server with PHP > = 5.2.0 and a working VirtualBox installation > = 3.2.2. Key features include : – Start/Stop VMs : Pause, Save State , Discard State, Power Off, ACPI Sleep, ACPI Shutdown – Snapshots : Take Snapshot, Delete Snapshot, Restore Snapshot – View VM Log files – Configure VMs : Excludes serial port configuration, Excludes some display options that do not affect a headless environment – Media : Add media, Full featured virtual media manager, Create hard disk wizard, Mount read-only media (DVD/CD and Floppy images) while VM is running, Clone disk image, Make disk image Immutable (read-only) – Create virtual machine wizard – Global networking configuration : Add / remove / configure host-only interfaces, Configure DHCP settings for host-only interfaces – Import / Export Virtual Machines – Virtual Machine Console access : Allows specification of username / password and screen resolution, Can be “detached” to open the VM’s console in a minimal, new browser window. VirtualBox OSE is supported but support for console tab, USB, and VRDP will be dropped obviously. Notice that the script performs no front-end user authentication of any kind, it is intended to be run on a local network or intranet where access to the phpVirtualBox script is limited by network connectivity.

Gizmox the developer of the Visual WebGui web/cloud applications platform adds an alternative way to develop Visual WebGui (VWG) applications using XAML and ‘on demand’ compilation instead of Form based development paradigm. The new declarative programming which will be named VWG Sites facilitates the transition into VWG for web developers who missed the VB6 like development paradigm and use only markup declarative paradigms. VWG Sites will also be the foundation of the VWG IDE in the Cloud. It enables “notepad” style ftp editing with no need for Visual Studio IDE. “We decided to expend the development experience offered by Visual WebGui in response to web developers’ requests. The web oriented developers wanted to enjoy VWG runtime benefits of desktop responsiveness, desktop richness and absolute by-design security with enterprise level data intensive application, but feel more at home with declarative programming,” said Navot Peled, CEO of Gizmox and added “We offer an alternative to ASP.NET which we extend and turn into an enterprise level rich internet application (RIA) platform.” Asp.Net developers have to choose between rich Ajax responsiveness and OOP (object oriented programming). They cannot have both with current Microsoft offering. VWG offer them both; Ultra rich and responsive Ajax and single layer fully, desktop like OOP programming that make complex Ajax development as simple as one layer, MVC development

A content management system (CMS) is a generalised term for a computer software system that assists in organising and facilitating the collaborative creation of documents and other content. In other words, it will store, manage and allow multiple lines of access to all of the content you want to include in any particular database. This can be done on any scale, from your personal website to an enterprise-level intranet.
